For a number of years I’ve been making photographic portraits of musicians who were friends and colleagues while I was in the business during the 1970s. That decade was an important time for music in Canada: new professional orchestras formed offering opportunities to young and talented musicians. It became possible to envisage a challenging and rewarding career doing what one loved to do. Here is a link to the photo gallery: The Musicians’ Portrait Project.
This is the first of a new series of portraits executed in video. Many, many thanks to Stuart for his time, indulgence and courage in venturing into new territory with me.
